Ferrari's latest video in its ‘Discover the technology of Formula 1' YouTube series sees Scuderia Ferrari's deputy design chief Simone Resta focusing on the chassis and side pods' design and its effect on the aerodynamics. This video follows two episodes, the first of which introduced viewers to the concept of aerodynamics – which is the subject of the series' first part – while the second took a look at the design and effect of the car's front wing and nose. Lewis Hamilton has seemed unassailable in recent races, and the deficit he had in the Drivers Championship has turned in to a small lead over team mate Nico Rosberg. But can he continue to increase his lead in the first Russian F1 Grand Prix in Sochi? In fact, Hamilton won the race in style, leading from start to finish after Nico Rosberg attempted an overtake at the first corner, went in too deep and locked up and had to pit for new tyres – effectively gifting Hamilton the race almost before it started.
SsangYong has released the first images of its new Rodius MPV, soon to be unveiled at next month's Geneva motor show. Based on SsangYong's ‘Robust, Premium, Specialty' design philosophy the carmaker says the new Rodius is "styled to be fit for outdoor, off-road driving as well as on-road driving". The front three-quarter sketch shows that the exaggerated, streamlined front grille has been retained – albeit it with a slight modification – while it also features angular headlamps.
